Victoria Jacobs, B.Sc., M.A., R.P.
Registered Psychotherapist
Victoria holds a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is also a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP). Victoria earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ball State University in Indiana, USA, where she played NCAA Division I soccer for four years.
Victoria is passionate about working with individuals aged 13-25 through the challenging years of high school, university, and the transition into early adulthood. She provides support for stress and anxiety, panic symptoms, depression and low mood, relationship and friendship issues, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. She helps individuals navigate academic pressures and the uncertainty that often follows high school and university.
Her practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Additionally, she is a Certified Hypnotherapist, having obtained her certification from the University of Toronto.
Victoria’s primary goal is to build a deep therapeutic connection rooted in compassion, trust, and empathy. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, she aims to provide a supportive and understanding environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly, without fear of criticism or judgment.
Victoria's experience as a competitive athlete led her to pursue further training as a sports therapist, supporting athletes in managing the challenges of performance and everyday life. She has curated a
5-session
Mental Health Skills Training Program for Elite Level Athletes. Her program is tailored specifically for athletes who are committed to pushing their boundaries through enhanced mental performance.
